Enter Market Cost

This grid allows you to set new market costs for multiple ingredients at once. Market costs are used when determining the price of assembly items. All items that are included on a Bill of Materials tab of a kit or an assembly item appear on this grid. The rows highlighted in green have a different new market cost than the current market cost.

Access

Grant permission to User Profiles in Access User Profiles > select a User Profile > Security > Inventory module > Item Maintenance > Enter Market Cost.

Use the drop down list in Set New Market Cost As to select one of the following options for the starting point of new market costs. The new market costs can then be changed on any items that are needed.

• Current Market Cost
• Weighted Average Cost (WAC)
• Last Cost
• Replacement Cost

When the new costs are processed, Merchant Ag will update the New Market Cost and Effective date on the Mfg/Grain, Manufacturing tab of Item Detail. Once the effective date is reached, the Update Market Costs SRV job will make the new costs current.
